Clinical Director needed in Los Angeles

Culver City, California | Full-Time Direct Hire

We are in need of a Clinical Director for a new company that operates in the Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Treatment industry. We will be providing therapeutic services (Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Treatment).

Initially, our Clinical Director will be instrumental in helping to build our program and for the hiring of the clinical team. Our ideal candidate has the ability to lead, the desire to build an ethical and effective program, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Current CPR certification and First Aid Certification
  • MSW from an accredited school of social work, or MA in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other related degree AND current license (CA) to practice independently as an LCSW, LMFT, PHD or Clinical Psychologist
  • Ability to maintain accurate chart records and documentation
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and multi-task
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
  • Ability to provide health and TB clearance
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Ability to be on call in case of emergency
  • Experience in addiction, dual diagnosis, and trauma
  • Experience working with young adults, adults, couples and families who struggle with substance abuse
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, EMR, CRM

Job Duties:
  • Manage all clinical staff and lead weekly treatment team meetings
  • Supervise UR and documentation needs for entire facility
  • Help guide client’ s counselor/case manager, and therapist in developing appropriate aftercare and discharge plan
  • Collaborate with professionals both within and outside the facility, as appropriate
  • Carries small caseload and provides direct clinical services, including individual, family and/or couples therapy to clients and their families if appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented client records with a quality of documentation that meets facility and licensing standards
  • Reviews client medical record documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to medical necessity, accuracy, and completeness of all required documentations
  • Safeguard ASAM criteria
  • Sign-off on clients’ charts for submission of services delivered
  • Provide one-to-one and group training documentation requirements for staff including, clinicians, supervisory staff, and managers
  • Responsible to maintain and create new user access within the EMR system
  • Clinical EMR experience, ensuring the clinicians know how to use the EMR system properly
  • Assist corporate with the standardization creating/updating/maintaining EMR policies, procedures, and processes
  • Sign off on EMR competencies for assigned facility clinical team
  • Participates in utilization and quality improvement meetings and projects
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Abides by code of law and ethics
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences including LGBTQ, racial, ethnic, socio-economic, disabilities
