Psychpros is seeking a highly qualified Full Time Therapist (temp to hire) to work with adults that have mental health and substance abuse issues.
The Therapist will provide excellent customer service, maintain a caseload of clients and may provide assessment, individual and/or group clinical services. The Therapist will address symptoms of mental health and substance use behaviors, thought processes, etc., that assist an individual in eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining education and employment; and participates in treatment team, and makes recommendations for client status changes. Services may be provided in a variety of settings. Duties and additional experience or requirements may vary by position. A dependent license is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides medically necessary Behavioral Health Case Management (Mental Health and Substance Abuse) services per Standard of Care.
Assistance in achieving personal independence in managing basic needs as identified by the individual and/or parent or guardian.
Develops individualized client treatment, recovery and health maintenance plans to standards and agency policies.
Coordination of the ISP, including: Services identified in the ISP; Assistance with accessing natural support systems in the community; Provides information / linkages to formal community service/systems; and Integration of care with Primary Care Providers.
Coordination and/or assistance in crisis management and stabilization as needed.
Maintains caseloads and level of care management by maintaining regular contact with clients in community and/or office, to monitor and assess progress.
Engage and re-engage with clients on caseloads.
Performs individual, group and family counseling, psychosocial intervention and substance use treatment under supervision when needed.
Ensures collaboration of care with other treatment providers.
Performs intake duties, urinalysis testing, symptoms monitoring and ongoing assessments as needed.
Efficiently operate personal computer to enter, edit and/or retrieve data and to produce reports and documentation.
Effectively works as a team member, including participating in all required training' s, evaluate situations for potential dangers, ensure the safety of others and participate in Peer Review/CQI process.

Bachelor’ s degree and;
Active Ohio license as a Social Worker (LSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) or, Marriage Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDCIII) based on job specific requirements
A valid driver’ s license and current auto insurance may be required
Complete an internal training and pass a competency test on electronic clinical documentation software during the first eight weeks of employment
Master' s Degree preferred
Knowledge of area community resource to assist patients with linkage to needed services strongly preferred
Knowledge of substance use and severe mental illness, data entry in electronic medical records, interface with medical personnel
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Linkage of patients to resources will require transporting patients to community resources
- Frequent to occasional standing and walking
- Frequent to constant sitting
- Frequent driving in accordance with job duties assigned
- Rare climbing. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Occasional reaching, handling, and use of fingers
- Rare tasting/smelling and use of color vision
- Occasional use of mid-range and far visual acuity, field of vision and depth perception
- Constant hearing and talking
