We are in need of a Program Director in East Stroudsburg, PA.

Responsible for the identification and development of the programs and services necessary to meet key mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of the community in keeping with the organizations philosophy and goals. Monitors, evaluates, and modifies the clinical programs, utilizing the input and skill of the organizations clinical management team. Maintains a highly interactive relationship with their organizations CEO, VP and management team to assure the development and expansion of the organization’ s services and carry out related assignments as needed. Supervises all clinical services and activities therapies to ensure effective utilization of clinical employees across services. Carries out the personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management and employee functions. Serves as the fiscal manager for the program. Develops and implements clinical and faculty policies and procedures. Provide direct client treatment. Assures design and implementation of clinical or program quality improvements. Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with physicians and referral sources and client families.

Principal Results Expected:

To direct and manage an effective organization wide clinical service delivery system. Strong clinical program able to successfully treat clients appropriately and effectively, positive relationships with internal and external customers, adult residential programs are fiscally responsible and contributing to the success of the corporation.

Profile: (Knowledge/Professional/Technical Competencies)

CAC preferred, strong clinical skills in D&A and Mental Health Treatment, knowledge of HIPAA regulations, state licensing protocol. Knowledge of CARF regulations.


With MA/MS, 2 years experience in human service agency including supervision, direct service and program

planning. With BA/BS, 3 years experience including supervision, direct service and program planning.

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in D&A and Mental Health treatment. 3-5 years experience in managing program activities. Knowledge of fiscal/budgetary responsibilities.

Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP)
