PsychPros is an executive to fill the position of Superintendent. This position will plan and direct all daily operations of a facility, which is on a beautiful 90 acre campus and is home to state of the art care, learning and job opportunities for Wyoming residents with challenges. The facility consists of several programs: one program, serving people with intellectual disabilities another program, which serves people with acquired brain injuries and another center, which provides acute and long term medical care. The Center provides training for caregivers and healthcare professionals.



-Provides leadership and strategic direction for the day today operation of the 24/7 with 300+ employees and 85+ patients.

-Works closely with leaders in the Behavioral Health Division in the coordination and implementation of overall department strategies.

-Coordinates and monitors medical staff, nurses, behavioral health services, therapeutic recreation specialists, certified brain injury specialists, dietary, pharmaceutical services, chaplain, and other specialty services.

-Implements policies and procedures needed to assure quality healthcare services.

-Oversees risk management processes.

-Creates a collaborative work environment that ensures the health and safety of the residents.

-Works with management in the conception, development and maintenance of work standards, policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and program planning.

-Ensures the patient care and operational needs of the facility are attained through the training and motivation of all employees.

-Ensures compliance with established quality standards and applicable state and federal regulations.

-Responsible for community and state outreach, expanding networks with local and public organizations, and educating Wyoming citizens.

-Oversees programs to assure protection of clients rights and that their medical, physical, and emotional needs are met.

-Provides program development and planning, which assures compliance with Federal and State ICF/ID standards.

-Directs and supervises the work of multiple level of supervisors, professional and direct support staff in the accomplishments of department and facility goals? provides management, supervisory expertise, and training.

-Coordinates with the Facilities Administrator, Fiscal and budget office on fiscal, construction, and maintenance to ensure the sound fiscal operation of the facility.

-Maintains appropriate staffing levels across facility to assure quality services within fiscal limits.

-Reviews/approves corrective actions for employees? interviews and makes employment


-Coordinates and communicates with all departments at facility, and empowers employees to assist in improving client services.



Preference will be given to applicants with a Master’ s Degree in human services, public administration, health administration, or management PLUS six years of professional work experience in health care or health care administration, which includes AT LEAST two years of budgetary and high level leadership/supervisory experience. Administrative and/or clinical experience with clients with extreme therapeutic, behavioral, and medical needs is highly desirable.
