Job Description
We are hiring for a F/T Clinician/Therapist that works with adults in an outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic program working the day shift, Monday through Friday in an office setting.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Individual with strong engagement skills who is team oriented and committed to continuous learning.
- Carries full caseload and provides clinical services consistent with Clinic productivity standards
- Formally completes risk assessment as part of clinical assessment, treatment plan review, and completes and updates wellness (safety) plans in conjunction with changes in client circumstances
- Utilizes evidence-based approaches where applicable and practice conforms to the NYS Office of Mental Health
- Presents difficult cases to clinical team in team meetings, sharing effective practices and/or soliciting advice
- Routinely encourages clients to attend to physical health using motivational approaches with persons with chronic and/or concerning conditions
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, Psychology
- Child & Family Assessment 2 years (Preferred)
- Evidence based approaches and/or research protocols: 2 years (Preferred)
- LCSW, LMSW, LMHC or LMFT (preferred)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed psychologist, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT
- Exceptions: Unlicensed/prelicensed staff: Must have plan to be licensed within 6 months of hire or another period as approved. Will be supervised in accordance with licensure requirements
Preferred:
- Experience with evidence-based approaches and/or research protocols
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records/computers for clinical documentation.
- Training in Person-Centered Planning and/or High-Fidelity
- Experience with managing time within productivity/quota driven work environment
- Multilingual a plus
- Substance use experience preferred
