Job Description


We have a full-time, temporary Medical Social Worker assignment available with a hospital in Riverside, CA. The Social Worker will assist patients and their families with care planning and discharge plans, complete psychosocial assessments, and partner with patients to identify needs and develop and implement individual treatment plans based on mutually agreed upon treatment plans. In addition, SW will also discuss options for care proactively including medical center resources and external community/government resources to assist patient and family in developing short- and long-term care plans as appropriate.

The work schedule is M-F, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.  

The temporary assignment pays $35.00 an hour. This is a W2 employment.


Qualifications:
Master's in social work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education with an active BBS registration as an ACSW with at least one (1) year post MSW experience in a health care setting. Hospital acute care experience desired. Demonstrated ability to work on a multidisciplinary team. Must have solid psychosocial assessment skills. Knowledge of chronic and acute disease and how it impacts patient and family functioning. Must be computer-literate and, preferably, experienced in automated clinical information systems.

Our client requires the Covid vaccination and one booster for anyone working at their medical facility.

The assignment is expected to last through the end of January 2024. Due to the temporary nature of the assignment, we do not offer benefits such as healthcare insurance or vacation time.
