Assistant Program Director -Licensed

We are in need of a full time, direct hire Assistant Program Director in San Rafael, CA.

This role reports to the Program Director and is responsible for the operational, clinical and administrative day-to-day operations of assigned areas of the Assisted Independent Living and for overall management of the program in the absence of the Program Director. Provides assistance to the Program Director in the planning and operation of the administrative and clinical aspects of the program, to insure smooth functioning and clear communication. Consistently supports the mission and objectives of Buckelew Programs by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Education and Experience: Candidate needs to possess and maintain a current license as a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts.(LCSW, LMFT, LPC) Four or more years of experience in a mental health agency, preferably one that serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness and/or works with a psychosocial rehabilitation approach, teaching independent living skills. At least one year of experience must be in direct service, with the remainder being supervisory. At least one year of personnel management experience. Strong understanding of family and group dynamics. Must have strong clinical skills, strong knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation requirements, treatment planning, and assessment. Strong understanding of the principles and practices of psychosocial rehabilitation, mental health recovery, group dynamics, co-occurring disorders and harm reduction approach.
