Job Description

We are hiring for a Behavioral Health Clinician in Wautoma and Friendship, WI
In compliance with all state statutes and regulating bodies, in accordance with Policy and Procedure and within the scope of training and skill level, assess, diagnose, counsel, and provide integrated general psychotherapeutic and Substance Abuse treatment, rehabilitation, and care coordination for children, adolescents, and adults (individual, family, group); provides educational and consultation services to Providers and staff, community agencies, and the public; and performs related duties as required. 
  • Competency in assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, counseling, and psychotherapeutic treatment of AODA, marriage, family, and child relationship dysfunctions; methods of developing and implementing a treatment plan; current trends in the field of mental health; laws and regulations applicable to mental health; and basic math.
  • Ability to perform effective counseling and psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups; develop and maintain cooperative relationships with clients’ families, members of other professional disciplines, social agencies, and co-workers; relate professionally with persons with serious mental disorders; identify and utilize community resources; advise and train other mental health staff; and prepare and present clear and concise oral and written reports.  Substance Abuse Certification preferred.
  • Competency in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, and groups with behavioral health/substance abuse problems in a primary care setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with primary care staff, patients and other behavioral health clinicians.
  • Applicants must possess WI state licensure in their profession
  • Independent Clinical Supervisor (ICS) preferred or ability to obtain
  • The selected candidate for positions in this class are required to undergo Provider Credentialing and Privileging which includes extensive background investigation. Per Federal Grant requirements, the selected candidate must not be listed on any debarment or exclusion list.
