Job Description
We are hiring for a Charge Nurse in Moscow, PA.
This role
-Properly monitors and guides medical recovery strategies for Eating Disorder treatment
- Orientation of new employees to specific medical policies and procedures
-Offer positive constructive feedback and direction to students/interns/ non-medical staff
-Develop and conduct staff trainings
- Conveys accurate information in supportive and courteous manner to clients and staff
- Development, conducting of, and participation in client outings, meals including same food intake, and age appropriate clinical challenges
- Seeks out supervision and direction from CRNP or physician as needed
- Completion of nursing assessments, lab work/ EKG reviews, vitals, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, etc.
- Completion of monthly nursing operation reports
- 2 RN shifts per week and on-call coverage as needed
- Creates/ manages nursing schedule
-Provides supervision to nurses per program supervision schedule
-Accept and transcribe verbal and electronic medical orders
- Assist CRNP, medical doctor and/ or Psychiatrist, and Executive Director as needed
2 shifts as RN (24 total hours), 2 shifts as charge/mngr (16 hours
Must have-PA RN License, Active driver license, All 3 clearances, Min 1 year RN supervisor
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, OMHSAS, RTFA, PHP). Strong leadership ability, team builder, ability to drive continuous improvement projects, confidentiality, multitasker, decisive, excellent problem-solving/ trouble-shooting skills, teacher, cooperative within the team framework.
