About the Role:
The Clinical Director will be the key leader of day-to-day clinical operations for four, six- bed residential treatment programs. Oversight responsibilities includes residential clinical staff, residential behavioral Specialist, youth, and clinical programming. Administration and planning elements of this position include responsibility for residential clinical personnel, expenses, clinical staff development and training, and programmatic outcomes. This position also ensures and promotes quality standards and provides coaching, mentoring, and clinical supervision to a team of four Residential Clinical Supervisors a Floating Clinician and up to five Residential Behavioral Specialists.

Where you will make an impact:
- Strongly supports the successful, timely, efficient, trauma focused implementation of both clinical and non-clinical services to youth placed in our residences
- Ensure delivery of clinical practices is safe, effective, and in compliance with contracts, COA and licensing standards
- Ensure Clinical Staff Meets HIPAA standards including but not limited to in exchanging information, keeping Protected Health Information (PHI) secure, and following procedures to protect electronic transmission/access to PHI at the agency and in the community.
- Ensures clinical services comply with both Short Term Residential Therapeutic Intervention Program Interim Licensing Standards and Department of Health Care Services Program Standards.
- Ensures and strongly promotes timely and effective coordination of care, and communication, with all applicable teams internally and externally
- Supports Nurtured Heart Approach® and ProAct philosophies, as well as all clinical models and practices, as designated by Youth Homes
- Provide solution-focused leadership and support to all residential clinical staff, as well as supplying meaningful feedback regarding program opportunities and challenges, with a strong emphasis on implementing change
- Are a visionary leader capable of providing a strength-based approach to residential clinical treatment, while promoting the mission and vision of Youth Homes.
- Lead and maintain collaborative relationships with external partners as assigned by VP of Residential Services: such as county employees, schools, medical personnel, and employment resources. This includes addressing areas
of concern expressed by these partners and working collaboratively towards a solution
- Act as professional representative of Clinical Department when collaborating in both internal and external partnerships (Senior Leadership Team, County Meetings, Fund Development Discussion and Community-based organization workgroups)
- Are able to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and be sensitive to the service population’ s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
- Maintains fiscal responsibility of clinical productivity
- Maintains assigned programmatic budget compliance
