Job Description
We are hiring for a Clinical Supervisor in Hilo, HI.
Our Client is committed to providing the highest quality of therapeutic care and communication currently available in the wilderness treatment model. The Clinical Supervisor(CS) combines the responsibilities of the Primary Therapist with clinical leadership and supportfunctons. The CS works closely with the Clinical Director to support the clinical team (with a focus on the adolescent program) in implementing the Sustainable Growth model that
integrates rites of passage, horticulture therapy, holistic wellness, experiential learning, and effective psychological and family supports.
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director and in collaboration with program staff the Clinical Supervisor shall assist the Clinical Director in providing clinical leadership, clinical oversight, quality assurance, crisis support, clinician training, supervision and case consultation.
The Clinical Supervisor shall work primarily in the Adolescent Program, but may have selected assignments in the Young Adult Program. The Clinical Supervisor will maintain the same responsibilities as Level II “ Primary Therapist,” carrying a reduced caseload average of 5-6 students while sharing many of these cases with a therapist-in-training or support therapist for training/teaching purposes.
Skills/Qualifications-
Doctoral degree (preferred) or Masters in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or related mental health field, and Hawaii license to provide psychotherapy at the independent level. Experienced therapist with adolescents and their families (wilderness preferred) with three (3) years experience in clinical supervision/administration. Two years experience as a Primary Therapist at Pacific Quest also preferred. Must maintain active clinical licensure in the State of Hawaii.
