Job Description
We are hiring for a Mental Health Specialist in the Dalles/ Hood River area.
The Mental Health Specialist provides culturally competent, appropriate, and trauma-informed crisis and behavioral health treatment for assigned clients. This position provides counseling and education for individuals, couples, families, and groups. The Mental Health Specialist provides behavioral health services to other community agencies, coordinates behavioral health services with other community and State resources, and performs related work as required. Incumbents must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and understanding of how culture influences and impacts behavioral health services while incorporating this understanding into trauma-informed care.
1. Must be a master’s level therapist(eligible for QMHP)
2. Must have 2 years of counseling experience outside of their internship
3. Must have Crisis Experience
4. Is fully onsite in the Dalles/Hood River, Oregon(schedule M-F 8:30am-5pm)
