Director of Clinical Services – California Licensed Psychologist
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic California-licensed psychologist to take on a leadership role as Director of Clinical Services in our growing mental health practice. This role is ideal for a psychologist who is passionate about clinical excellence, supervision, and program development, with opportunities to shape the direction of services and mentor a team of clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Supervision & Training:
  • Provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists and consultation to licensed clinicians.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of clinical documentation and adherence to ethical/legal standards.
  • Conduct case consultations and peer reviews to support best practices in therapy and assessment.
  • Identify training needs and develop professional development opportunities for staff.
Clinical Leadership & Program Development:
  • Oversee and enhance clinical services, ensuring high standards of care across individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies that align with ethical guidelines and state regulations.
  • Provide guidance on treatment approaches and interventions for complex cases.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in psychology and integrate evidence-based practices into the organization.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and ethical guidelines, including HIPAA and Board of Psychology regulations.
  • Conduct chart reviews and clinical audits to maintain high-quality service delivery.
  • Address client concerns or escalations related to clinical care and ensure timely resolution.
Direct Client Care:
  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide therapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Maintain a reduced caseload to balance leadership responsibilities with direct client engagement.
  • Offer specialized expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Couples therapy
    • Treatment of preschool-age children
    • LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy
Team Collaboration & Growth:
  • Foster a collaborative team culture through regular team meetings and peer consultations.
  • Support the hiring and onboarding of new clinicians, ensuring alignment with the practice’s mission and values.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for clinical staff, promoting ongoing learning and growth.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Active California psychologist license (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
  • Two years of post-licensure experience (preferred)
  • Experience supervising pre-licensed and/or licensed clinicians
  • Strong multicultural competence – Ability to work effectively with diverse ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • Couples therapy
    • Expert Treatment of African American or Hispanic clients
    • Treatment of preschool-age children
    • LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy
  • Availability for some weekend hours

Position Details:
  • Employee or Independent Contractor (1099) status
  • Flexible scheduling options:
    • Full-time preferred
