Job Description

We are hiring for a Forensic Group Facilitator in 90005.
In today's criminal justice system rehabilitation and the prevention of recidivism are sought through punishment, warehousing, and the promise of external motivators. These practices often lead to superficial and fragile behavioral changes. Specific offenses, especially those with an SPMI component,  often have distinct criminogenic and therapeutic needs. Group treatments tailored to offense-specific behaviors are needed to promote internal driven transformation, development of social network building skills, internalization of group consciousness, seeding the reduction of solitude in otherwise isolated patients.
 
I am recruiting for a license eligible individual in the Los Angeles area, interested in assisting in group facilitation during a 4 to 8 month project with a renowned mental health program. This outstanding opportunity will allow candidates to work alongside top minds as they further their research in Forensic Group Therapy and aid in the treat of some of the most misunderstood and vulnerable members of our society. Compensation for this position is around $50 an hour with a potential of further future or full-time employment. 
 
Some Duties and Responsibilities include
• Facilitates group therapy in accordance group objectives and goals.
• and communicates any relevant observations to the FCTP team.
• Demonstrates sound judgment in making clinical and supervision decisions, incorporating feedback, guidance, theory, and experience aimed at maintaining community safety.
• Implements effective and relevant clinical interventions when delivering clinical care.
• Conducts a thorough review of clients’ records and maintains a working understanding of clients’ risk factors and course of treatment.
• Develops rapport with clients and fosters an environment supportive of treatment gains.
• Sets reasonable limits and boundaries with clients as indicated, always maintaining an objective and professional relationship with clients.
• Generates all required clinical notes and any other necessary documentation in a timely manner and in line with the program’s guidelines and expectations for each note.
