Job Description

We're assisting a well-respected nonprofit agency in Westminster, MD in its search for a full-time IOP Therapist. The role will provide psychotherapy services to residential, IOP, and outpatient clients. They will assess new clients for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. They work with all clients to develop person-centered treatment plans that are reviewed and updated regularly. The employer adheres to clinical policies and procedures in conformance with CARF regulatory standards, ASAM guidance, and COMAR requirements for the State of Maryland.

The ideal candidate works well in a team-based environment and is passionate about treating those who are struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.  Our licensed clinical counselors are responsible for a variety of duties ranging from the completion of biopsychosocial assessments, conducting individual, couple, and family counseling sessions, leading group therapy sessions, the development of person-centered treatment planning in compliance with agency guidelines, and the completion of clinical documentation by regulations and policies, and within appropriate time frames. This role reports to the Clinical Director.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Must have current LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT. LCADC or LGSW, LGPC, LGMFT, or LGADC license in addition to NPI and Medicaid number. Clinical Supervisor credential a plus.
  • CAC-AD, CSC-AD, AD-Trainees will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with CARF behavioral health standards and experience with implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with ASAM levels of care and COMAR regulations regarding SUD residential and outpatient services
  • Has knowledge of and experience working with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder population.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity working in an EHR environment.
