In this position, you will be working in a warm and supportive environment helping to make a difference in peoples life who are suffering with mental health/substance abuse issues.
Job Description:
- Provides out-patient therapy to clients at agency.
- Provides on-call coverage to address the needs of behavioral health clients in crisis on a rotating call schedule.
- Assesses clients and makes provisional diagnoses based on DSM-5 criteria.
- Refers for therapy/medication management.
- If necessary, assists in securing in-patient placement, detoxification unit, or intensive outpatient program.
- Helps engage clients and their families in conversations about their treatment.
- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss the care plans.
- Provides follow-up and collateral care with other providers.
- Collaborates with police, schools, hospital and tea
- Experience in psychiatric emergencies
- LICSW or eligible
- Knowledge of evidence based therapies
- Knowledge of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders
- Ability to document clearly and in a timely manner
