We are hiring for a LPN in Everett, WA.

About the Program:
The LPN will be a part of our Enhanced Services Facility. We are a small facility that is generally quiet and very lowkey at night. Offering a very cozy workplace, and lots of room for growth and development if looking to expand upon a career in nursing! This facility is a behavioral health setting, that provides patients a smooth transition from a hospital setting by providing assisted living and care for those with complex behavioral challenges. The main goal of this program is to help individuals participate and stabilize in their community. We offer a modern, state of the art, facility for residents to enjoy. Patient care load at the max is only 16!   General Responsibilities: As part of a multidisciplinary team coordinate and deliver health care services for residents of Sunrise Services ESF. Responsible for administering / assisting residents with medications. Ensure that health records are complete and secure. Essential Functions: (Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies. May not include all duties of this job)
  • Makes basic observations, gathers data and assists in identification of needs and problems relevant to the resident; collects specific data as directed, and communicates outcomes of the data collection process in a timely fashion to the supervisor.
  • Problem Identification. Provides data to assist in the development of nursing diagnoses which are central to the plan of care.
  • Contributes to the development of approaches to meet the needs of residents and develops client care plans utilizing a standardized nursing care plan and assists in setting priorities for care.
  • Carries out planned approaches to client care and performs common therapeutic using techniques.
  • Supervise and provide medication administration. Administer injectable medications to assigned residents.
  • Collect bio-medical information from residents such as blood pressure, heart rate, weight, etc.
  • Regularly observe residents for changes in physical, mental and emotional functioning to determine if needs are being met.
  • Encourage residents in health education, good nutrition, hydration and other activities related to good overall health and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate health care between the resident, their chosen health care providers
  • Document in health records all observed or reported illnesses, accidents, and changes in functional abilities as well as the dates of actions taken.
  • Keep medical rooms stocked with adequate supplies, as required.
  • Serve as Shift Lead for assigned shifts; provide support and leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
  • Education: AA degree in nursing or other required nursing education for an LPN.
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) per WAC 246-840.
Other Considerations:
  • Current valid Washington driver’s license, with excellent driving record and $50,000 liability insurance.
  • DSHS background clearance required.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging dynamic situations including behavioral and staffing issues.
  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time, perform light lifting (approximately 10-20 pounds), and physically assist unsteady residents.
  • Must be able to perform physical aspects of position that may include carrying groceries, laundry, and other personal belongings; reaching at waist, above shoulders or below knees, walking up and down stairs, etc.
Shift:
  • Full-time and part-time available
  • Friday - Monday, 11pm - 7am
Compensation:
  • LPN - $30 - $34/hour
  • $1 shift differential for overnight hours
  • $3000 sign on retention bonus
  • Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
