Job Description
We are assisting a behavioral health treatment provider in their search for a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist in Gardnerville, NV. The Therapist will see clients for individual, group, and family therapy. Therapist will assure the quality provision of services, collection/maintenance of data, and discharge planning/aftercare are all according to program’ s policies and procedures.
Minimum Education
- Master' s degree in a mental Health field from an accredited Graduate School or a degree that supports an alternative acceptable licensure.
• CPC, LMFT, LCSW Full unrestricted licensure acceptable
- BLS Certification (or able to obtain within 90-days of hire)
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification (or able to obtain within 90-days of hire)
- Ability to be credentialed with all CVMC payors within 6-mo of hire.
Minimum Work Experience
- Three (3) years of clinical experience within a behavioral health program providing individual, group and family therapy, including crisis intervention/management.
- Outpatient clinic and/or IOP experience preferred.
- Must meet any applicable state certification standards.
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of de-escalation, negotiation, communication (verbal and written), conflict resolution, interdisciplinary collaboration, care/case management, creative problem solving, and critical thinking.
- Knowledge of community mental health resources, knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid practices and insurance requirements as these relate to continuing care.
- Knowledge of outpatient and inpatient behavioral health services, including community and organizational resources, and patient care process.
