Job Description

A treatment provider in Charlotte, NC, is seeking is a full-time, office-based licensed Psychiatrist. The primary role will provide psychiatric care across a continuum of behavioral health services, focusing on leading the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) and delivering outpatient treatment for individuals aged five and older, including children, adolescents, and adults. This role blends team-based community psychiatric care with individualized outpatient treatment, emphasizing recovery-oriented, person-centered services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as the psychiatric lead on a multidisciplinary ACTT team delivering comprehensive, community-based care to individuals with serious mental illness (SMI).
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for ACTT clients.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and treatment planning with nurses, social workers, case managers, and peer support specialists.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for high-risk clients in collaboration with the team.
  • Ensure timely documentation and coordination of care with other providers and agencies.

Requirements:
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry; Child & Adolescent Psychiatry certification is highly desirable.
  • Current, unrestricted state medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • DEA registration with X-waiver or willingness to obtain one (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community mental health or integrated behavioral health settings preferred.
