ndianapolis area.

You would be part of a true interdisciplinary team that includes Psychiatry, Internal Medicine and Neurology. Together, you would contribute to the team’ s understanding and treatment co-morbid psychological and medical challenges, particularly those with Major Neurocognitive Disorders.

You will be using a focused therapy/assessment model to offer the highest quality, individualized care for each person, and as the onsite HSPP, you would be responsible for delivering high quality supervision to postdoctoral fellows, predoctoral interns, and/or practicum students, as well as masters-level clinicians.  Your psychological and neuropsychological assessments will directly impact the care of your patients. A typical day in the hospital is eight hours of individual follow up sessions, group therapy sessions, and new admission intake. Work weeks are five days per week with no weekends and no on-call time. Successful members of our team respect our geriatric population and wish to join us in giving them the best quality care in the twilight of their life. They are also individuals who enjoy and thrive in a semi-independent work environment within the faster pace of an acute care hospital setting. Persons who thrive here are flexible and are willing to accept challenges of our atypical population not found in any other setting. Psychologists with geriatric, Health Psychology and/or Neuropsychology training or experience, or those who are familiar with hospital settings are encouraged to apply. Neuropsychological testing for clarity of diagnosis and proper treatment planning is also a valuable skill.  Such experience is not required, only a desire to expand your knowledge base into the growing area of geriatric psychological and neuropsychiatric care.

Brooke Olson
National Recruiting Manager

Recruiting is a great way to combine two fields that I love — human resources and human services. I believe that my knowledge of the human services field helps me so much in my position as a behavioral health recruiter. I am truly able to understand what client companies are looking for in a candidate, and in turn, I can help job candidates locate a job they love.
