We are in need of a RN in Pittsburgh, PA

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for instructing and guiding chemical dependency technicians and LPN’ s in client care responsibilities and assignments. Will orient new employees to unit specific policies and procedures as well as detox protocols. Must be willing to offer positive constructive feedback and direction to students/interns on the unit. Conveys accurate information in supportive and courteous manner to unit nursing and tech staff. Seeks out supervision and direction from physician. Will complete full cycle client care, which includes but is not limited to; nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, medication reconciliation, medication administration, and vitals. Registered Nurse will assist medical doctor as needed. Will report any unusual occurrences to nurse supervisor/program director promptly. Ensure room assignments are appropriate to clients’ needs. Will be expected to attend and actively participate in departmental staff meetings. Ensure medical equipment is in proper working order.

Must possess skills to communicate effectively and interact well with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information, working well in an individual/ group problem solving situation, and showing initiative in problem solving. Maintains consistency with clients, staff, visitors, and the public. Ability to be calm and decisive in a crisis and react appropriately. Ability to make decisions in an objective and ethical manner. Ability to sustain a team environment while driving continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
Education/Experience: Current RN license in state of practice. Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP, RTFA).

Shifts Available: 3p-11p, 11a-11p
