Job Description

PsychPros is a nationally recognized staffing and recruiting firm dedicated to behavioral health care.  We are currently recruiting for a Substance Use Disorder Professional to work full-time in Yakima, WA.  

The Substance Use Disorder Professional will counsel individuals requiring assistance in dealing with substance use disorder in a residential setting.

Available Schedules-
  • Sunday-Thursday 8am-5pm
  • Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm

Qualifications-
  • High school degree or GED is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Must possess the Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee credential or Substance Use Disorder Professional credential
  • Have no history of alcohol or other drug misuses for a period of 2 years immediately prior to the time of employment as a Substance Use Disorder Professional, and no misuse of alcohol or other drugs while employed
  • Covid vaccination is required

Responsibilities-
  • Engage in and model healthy relationship skills while assessing treatment planning, and counseling with clients in group and individual settings
  • Understand and implement the essential elements of the ASAM assessment, placement process, objectives of individualized treatment planning as directed by ASAM criteria, and the essential elements of the ASAM continuous stay criteria
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency management when needed
  • Provide referrals
