We are hiring for a temporary therapist in Vallejo, CA
This position engages students in individual, group, and relationship counseling and psychotherapy to help students deal with social and personal problems including but not limited to; anxiety and depression, stress and overwhelm, relationship issues, alcohol and drug concerns, conflict resolution, self-efficiency issues, and preventing and responding to crisis. The counselor assists with developing and providing outreach for counseling services and training to the campus community on areas related to the impact of social, emotional, and psychological concerns on academic performance. This position assists in identifying, developing, and responding to consultation opportunities with community constituents including faculty, administrators, staff, students, other campus community members, and local community resources.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Individual, couples, and group counseling (in person and HIPAA compliant video sessions) and maintaining timely documentation. · Conflict resolution as needed · Outreach presentations and trainings to assist students with stress management and preventive coping strategies · Assist faculty with identifying and interacting with students in need · Work collaboratively with the director of student counseling, colleagues, campus departments, and student groups · Primary responder for student mental health crises, hospitalizations, etc. · Assist the director with development and maintenance of campus outreach programs and materials, participate in weekly case consultation, and present on mental health related issues. · Assistance with other mental health compliance and accreditation requirements.
This role pays $40-$50 an hour.
