Job Description

PsychPros is assisting a long-standing non-profit behavioral health organization in Owensboro, Kentucky, with its search for a Lead Clinical Therapist. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-driven team dedicated to providing trauma-informed care to youth and families in a collaborative, supportive environment.

This is a salaried position with no billable productivity requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the treatment of youth in care.
  • Assign clinician caseloads and monitor compliance with clinical documentation, human trafficking screenings, and state and federal regulations.
  • Provide clinical guidance and consultation to Case Managers, Care Team Coordinators, Unit Supervisors, and Direct Care staff.
  • Participate in Care Team meetings and offer expertise on mental health treatment and trauma-informed behavioral interventions.
  • Prepare diagnostic assessments, develop treatment recommendations, facilitate clinical staff training, and support program development.
  • Serve as the primary clinical liaison to the Care Team Coordinator and Program Director.
  • Participate in the on-call crisis rotation.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, provide individual and group counseling, complete human trafficking screenings, and deliver crisis intervention services.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload while providing leadership support, based on program census and staffing needs.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health discipline.
  • Active Kentucky clinical licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT.
Preferred Experience
  • Three (3) years of post-graduate clinical experience.
  • One (1) year providing direct services to youth and families.
  • One (1) year of community-based and/or in-home behavioral health experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
