We are assisting a long-standing non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and adolescents in Owensboro, KY, in their search for a full-time Lead Clinical Therapist for its program serving unaccompanied children migrating to the US from other countries. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven team providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to youth and families.
Key Responsibilities
The Lead Clinician oversees the clinical aspects of youth and assigns clinicians based on compliance with clinical documentation, adherence to human trafficking screening, and compliance with state, federal, and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) regulations.

Clinical Therapist (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT)
Owensboro, KY – Full-Time
We are assisting a long-standing non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and adolescents in Owensboro, KY, in their search for a full-time Lead Clinical Therapist for its program serving unaccompanied children migrating to the US from other countries. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven team providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to youth and families.
Key Responsibilities
The Lead Clinician oversees the clinical aspects of youth and assigns clinicians based on compliance with clinical documentation, adherence to human trafficking screening, and compliance with state, federal, and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) regulations.
- Provides clinical guidance to Case managers, Care Team Coordinator, Unit Supervisors, and direct care staff.
- Participates in and provides professional support in Care Team meetings; and advises the Care Team concerning mental health issues and trauma-informed behavioral management interventions.
- The Lead Clinician is responsible for the preparation of goal-oriented diagnostic assessments, clinical staff training, and program enrichment.
- The Lead Clinician is a direct liaison to the Care Team Coordinator and Program Director
- serves on the on-call crisis rotation and fulfills all the tasks of a full-time clinician.
Required Education & Experience
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a comparable behavioral health discipline requiring clinical experience.
- Active Kentucky clinical license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT).
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of post-graduate clinical experience.
- One (1) year providing direct services to youth and families.
- One (1) year of community-based and/or in-home service delivery experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
This is a salaried position—no billable units required.
