Job Description
An outpatient treatment provider in the Indianapolis area is seeking a full-time dedicated and compassionate Staff Psychiatrist to provide high-quality psychiatric care and consultation across our programs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct clinical services and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide psychiatric consultation to staff with final authority on diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Participate in emergency coverage and on-call consultation.
- Ensure clinical services meet high standards of care and compliance.
- Serve as liaison to area hospitals and obtain staff privileges as needed.
- Engage in professional development and continuing education.
- Collaborate with clinical managers to support quality service delivery.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, formulate treatment plans, and manage psychotropic medications.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Participate in peer review and data analysis to support performance improvement.
- Valid Indiana medical license.
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with completed residency.
- Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry (preferred).
- Proficiency in psychopharmacology, diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning.
- Familiarity with infection control, crisis intervention, and medication management protocols.
